Due to expansion, we have an immediate opening for the following position:
QA/QC MANAGER (BATAM - INDONESIA)
Responsibilities:
- Management of the inspection and testing teams to verify that contract requirements are being met in terms of quality and relevant documentation.
- Monitor the implementation of the management system and its effectiveness through document reconciliation and other appropriate means.
- Ensure implementation of the site quality control plan.
- Monitor and define quality problem areas and propose corrective actions to the Project Management Team.
- Supervise the QC department team. (Engineer and inspectors)
- Conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.
- Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
- Able to apply statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
- Reviews all purchased products or components and provides input to the decision of whether to accept the product in Specification & Quality and future purchases from the vendor.
- Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures.
- Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
- Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
- Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.
- Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
Requirements:
- Candidate should possess at least a Bachelor's/College DII in Engineering (Civil), Naval Shipbuilding Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
- Experienced in Shipyard or Strong Major In Ship Building
- Familiar with Shipyard Quality Management system; ISO9001:2008 & 14000, in addition to shop floor management tools i.e. 5R, QCC, QC System, TQM etc.
- Strong leadership, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skill are essential. Able to work independently or in a team.
- Mature, energetic and motivated to work under pressure, and possess hands on strong core skills & related computer software, i.e. Auto CAD, Primavera/MS-Project & MS Applications, Expedition for contract management is an advantage
- At least 5-8 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
