Southlinks Country Club PDF Print E-mail
The Southlinks Country Club is a tropical resort that stands on elevated ground on exotic Batam and set within 213 hectares of lust rolling countryside and tropical greenery, the atmosphere is peaceful & refreshing. Adjacent to the Ladi Reservoir & opened on 18 April 1996, Southlinks offers 18 hole par 72 golf and country club facilities that are on par with the very best in the region.

Ranking as one of the top 3 courses on the island & situated between Nagoya and Water Front City lies the Southlinks Country Club, with its easy access and exciting water features it is a must for all players of all abilities. The signature hole 6 is where golfers have to decide whether to go for glory or not on this challenging par 5. To cut the corner and give yourself a chance of reaching the green in 2, your drive needs to be 200 meters to clear the water that runs all along the left side of the fairway. Watch out too for the narrow fairway hemmed in between the water and the bunker on the right as you approach the standard green No 6 or the even more challenging island 6A green.

An interesting and difficult tee shot into the par 3 green on the 4th, the distance is relatively friendly for even the average golfer, but do not be deceived by the pretty inviting green that slopes towards the tee box. A large step bunker guards the front right of the green and on your right there is a clear waterfall. Overshooting will find you in the hazard at the back as too will a pulled shot.
